I’m a sucker for West-coast indie with Afro-influences ala Vampire Weekend and…err…well, just them really. San Diegons Cuckoo Chaos have a degree of kinship with the New York quartet but amp it up one louder resulting in less preppy, more garage friendly sound. They also share the ability to turn up an oblique song title or too, displayed by ‘Jesus Flag American Fish’. Album ‘Woman’ is out 3rd October.
